Any wun else doing this event ..only watched it last year , but the 1955. 350lb of pure british engineering is champing at the bit for a go this easter mon
Theres 2 of us locals so far ,,,so it will be a bit of a party in the cider tent before hand ,,,,,, LR,

Numbers came in the post this morn,,
Ivan on the Ariel metisse no 111,
Me tribsa , no 35 ..
Both bikes are up & ready ,, i think next year we will do the trial on the sunday as well ,,,,make it in to a lads weekend ,,

Ive put the return spring under the slide in the carb ;D its what ivan (main jet man) told me to do ,, see yu ,,LR,

Any way it took me 5 cans to rebuild the top end , i think its all ok ,,,, ;D ,LR ..

Triumph twins were used to power generator engines on lancaster bombers in 1944 ,,,if it stays this cold ;D one of them might get converted back on sunday night , to power the electric blankets ,,,could be fun in the snow though ,,,,,,
Any way who the hell moved easter this close to xmas ,,,cant even sing .Allways look on the bright side ,properly when your freezin ,. no audieice any way ,,,,,, ;D,LR,

It was brilliant ,,,,,bloomin cold on sun night , even the beer froze ,,, ,
Had 4 runs at the hill including 2 practices & managed to drag myself over the top with my fingers every time ,
Had the privilege of starting next to andy roberton on my 3rd run ,, i was still letting the hand brake off & checking the rear view mirror , & he was up & over the top ,,,,
Ivan on the ariel mettise got through to the 1/4 finals in the all comers with a brilliant last ride in a snow storm,,,
Certainly going back next year ,, but gunna have to trim about 200 lb of the tribsa , cheers rich ,
PS update , friday 28th , got some photo proofs in the post . i got the tribsa 6 ins off the ground ,,, , twice ,,,,,hee hee , rich,

;D Got the times of tinternet ,,,,,one of my runs , 40 secs , must of stoped for a burger or sumit ,,,,,,,19.97 was time of the day , Piers Dowell ..he was realy flying ,,,,Arthurs bike packed up in practice ,,
Shame it wernt a le mans type start . my old petrol tribsa fired up first kick every time ,,,,, ;D the dope boys were using lighted rags ,flame throwers , & heat guns to get there stuff fired up ,,,,
