We have a nice few entries for Saturday, all the usual suspects + 1 or 2 new guys. All the action starts at 2pm. Anyone who would like to observe will be rewarded financially and there might even be a Mars bar in it!!

I have had an official complaint (not yet in writing as laid out in the supplementary rules: Section 2 paragraph 8) about the marking of a certain section! The rider (who shall remain nameless) feels he was unfairly given a 5 when he should have been clean. Rest assured the matter will be taken up with the disciplinary committee and punishment will be swift and brutal. In the meantime i am giving the rider another 5 which will relegate him too..........1st overall modern bike A route. Confidentiality is of paramount in this mater, Don't worry Martin we will not tell him it was you on section 2.

Not quite sure why the rider is complaining, as he was seen in section nine stopped (with both feet on the footrests) blatantly posing/showing off to the large crowd. That very very nice man who was observing section nine, was so impressed that he generously gave him a clean, even though he could, maybe should have given the rider a five for "ceasing forward motion" in the section. I can only presume that some form of bribery was or will be a factor in this. On the other hand it was nice to see that the rider's son Jason has sucessfully taught the old chap how to do this sort of modern riding style, even though his age is against him. What next? - will we see him wearing a fluorescent coloured lycra riding suit next?
