Hi all,
Just to introduce myself, I am Tim. I am 13 years old and I live in Downton in Wiltshire. I am interested in anything related to classic motorcycling. I currently at the moment am building a BSA Bantam race bike to race with the British Historic Racing. I am also interested in classic scrambling and trials. I am very interested in your club, seeing it's the only close one to me and will come to one of your events to see what happens.
Cheers,
Tim

Oh and to add, what CC's are a 13 year-old aloud to race in this club? I probably won't race but i'm interested. Road racing has taken up my time alot and I just want to get muddy again!

Sorry but at 13 you are a little young to ride at our scrambles. Trials could be a different story though. You are very welcome to come along to any of our events and see how we operate, just make your self known to a member- usually in the black top with our logo on.
Do you know the Burnout bike boys? They come to our events.

Ahh ok. I wasn't intending to ride scrambles. Just watch. Dad was interested though. Yes, I do know the Burnout Bike boys. I love their shop. The Vegas Jackpot is a nice bike. Have you seen Lamb Chop 2? Custom bike?

I haven't seen the Lamb Chop 2, don't get that way too often it's 35 miles away. How about some photos of your Bantam? Some of us grew up with them, albeit 40 years ago I learned a lot of (bad habits) things with them! ;D

Ahh sure thing Whizzy. It's in it's first stages so far so probably won't look like a bike at all! So far the engine is sitting on my grandma's table in our garage, with the wheels and carb lying on the campervan! Frame will come soon. I'm going to change all the internals etc so it will fly! (well....probably! Or left at the back!) Until I manage to find how to post pictures on the forum, here is the link to our webmaster's Bantam build in 2002. Very well detailed! www.bsabantamracing.com/bantamracer/bantam_racer_1.htm And here is our web: www.bsabantamracing.com/Practically in my view, they don;t look like the Bantams i've ridden round our garden and up the lane! Mike Powell's bike, No.33, can crack 112mph! Nearly all of us use close-ratio gearboxes. I'm fitting a reed valve to my bike. Good job i've got Dad on standby! Tim

Most riders of my age started on bantams.I had a Grasstrack two speed and several 175 Bantams .One with a complete Husky front end grafted on to replace the prone to wear BSA road forks. Many happy hours getting caked in mud ,on top of the hills. I bet today they would be taken away and crushed ,after one complaint to the Police......Barney P.S. I am 32 BY THE WAY...
