Hi All
attended Penslewood yesterday, having been told about by someone in my village (Phil Hacker).
Always had a hankering to do some offroad racing, and having seen yesterday this could well be right up my street.
Now, where do i find details of regulations stating what bikes can and can't compete in the different groups? Whereto people practice between events? and any ideas of good source of bikes for sale? Thining i will need a big 4 stroke, as i could well be "Wide Loads" long lost brother

Hi Mac (isn't that a digger),
Welcome to the forum.
I hope you took note of the bikes that had broken yesterday 'cause you might just get offered one on here. ;-)
As far as twinshocks go they should be air cooled, drum brakes and two rear shocks (although there are some early mono shocks that are allowed) they can be purpose built bike from back in the day or a home made special. The pre 65's and pre 74's are pretty much self explanatory but are difficult to police.
If you find somewhere to practice let's us know, it's always difficult to find an old bike friendly track.
The best source for buying bikes is to ask around and let people know you are looking. And take somebody with you who knows what they looking at.

Thank you for the info.
Will be careful when looking at bikes, but i have a few mechanics that work for me so i will always have someone on hand to do a thorough check of anything.
