Any of you lot had anything to do with these ......ive just strpped a motor & the power valve is is just kissing the piston ,just enough to trap the ring in its groove ..its a nikasil bore so its not been overbored & there only seems a small amount of play in all the moving parts.....i would like to save it coz its going to be my ride down to the postoffice hack....hopefully .... .

Something to look out for ,if you ever take one apart ,ime sure loads of you have kids or even grandkids that will need your training ... ;D....& mechanical skills on older stuff when they start off, The cause of £500 worth of damage .....if you look at the photo theres a collar at the top of the valve .on the in/out rod....it can be fitted both ways around ....but only this way is correct......this motor was put together with it the other way round.......OUCH......yesterday i thought there were spacers missing after looking at pictures .....but it was as simple as a offset collar stopping the valve from going to far back towards the piston.......

Well technically this little engine is written off financially ..By £650....so it will be interesting if a bit of garden shed mechanics will get it going any sence again it will be a good project as the basic bike is good & it seems a shame to scrap it ..ime guna aim to make it useable for around £100 in parts ....my shed time is not counted .coz its not .......its what we do. Ps i will tell you the out come ..honest

If it works and I ride it around one of our tracks it won't for long, or at least it will get bent! :-(

Well its going ........sounds ok too.. ......will be interesting to see how even a mid 90s 125 performs ...40 bhp i am told .with a good power band ....the last 125 i had was a Aspes 125 enduro in the mid 70s & i think some one must of tryed to tune it ........it had a powerband between 20,000 -20,500 revs & was orible to ride anywhere ....happy days though , ;D ;D you dont know if you dont try.......... ...Rich.
