Have to agree with whizzy about good service from most dealers. I usually find that a quick phone call a few hours after the email gives you the chance to discuss the email contents with them directly. Sometimes they might not have looked at the heap of emails, or an item is out of stock, or the payment total is wrong, or the bloody phone keeps ringing.....etc..etc Dave Renham @ Bultaco uk is ALWAYS keen to help you out, but always try & give them as much relevant information as you can eg. year, model, cc, engine No, etc. Remember they can't see your bike, they can only go on the information that YOU give them. Rich, if you are still having difficulties, give me a ring - I used to own Bultaco's in the good old days. Either that or buy a Honda - quality products.

The Fantic flywheel is fitted. I used a little valve grinding paste to mate the "new" flywheel to the shaft. She now staarts first kick hot or cold.
Next thing to sort is the forks they seem to stick a bit. I'm going to preload them a bit more- shove another spacer or two in. It might just be the fact they haven't moved much lately.
It also seem quite high geared, certainly wont frighten anyone in the wheelie stakes off the throttle. I'm not quite sure what i should expect.

tis the corners you need to be wary on, Bultos never had any brakes when they were new!

These modern riders are spoiled with all these hydraulic disc brakes that work with 1 finger ,,,,,,,,,& stop on a sixpence ,,,,,,,,most of the older riders had a front brake grip that would shatter a billiard ball & a left stamp that would crack concrete ,,,,,,,,,,& that was just to slow down a bit ,,,,,, ;D ;D ;D,,,,thems the days ,,,,, Ps ive not told monkey boy about the brakes , although the early ones were a lot bigger ,,,,,,,,,,,,orrible ain't i ;D but thats show business,,,,,,, My 1969/70 ajs stormer has got sealed hubs to keep the water out ,,,,,,,,,,,,i wish ide have seen one of these in the early 70s ,,,,,,,,i would have moded all my bikes ,,,,,just might have still had brakes after the run to the first section at places like bovington,,,,,,,,,ohh well as they say ,,,,,,,

Even just washing the bike was a right pain with those old drum brakes, had to take 'em apart before they rusted up.

At least your drum brakes were consistently crap, try a modern KTM and see the brake characteristics change between corners!
